The museum is open every day of the week, except Monday. It is exceptionally open on Easter Monday and on Whit Monday. It is closed on the following public holidays:

Opening hours
The museum’s opening hours depend on the season. You can find the exact times below. Visitors are admitted until 30 minutes before closing time but are requested to leave the park in good time as the gates are shut punctually.
- October to March: from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- April: from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
- May until August: from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
- September: from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Getting there
Public transport
You can easily get to the museum by train, tram and bus. The 'De Lijn' route planner shows you the way. Tip: enter 'Middelheim Park' as your destination.
By bike
You can easily get to the museum by bike. There is a bike park at the three main entrances.
By car
- On the Antwerp ring road, take the Berchem or Wilrijk exit
- Free parking in Beukenlaan, about 300 m walk.
Caution: low emission zone as of 1 February 2017
Are you travelling to Antwerp by car? Then remember that the entire city centre of Antwerp and Linkeroever/Left Bank are a low emission zone as of 1 February 2017. Vehicles that emit too much soot and particulate matter may no longer enter the low emission zone. Check before coming to Antwerp whether your vehicle complies with the conditions for entry with this test.
All vehicles with a foreign number plate (except Dutch number plates) that comply with the conditions for entry must be registered once-only. Registration is free and can be done up to 24 hours after entering the zone. Register your car here

Maps and signage
The museum park has nine entrance gates. Extensive signage has been put up in all the areas of the park. The signs guide to you to the various pavilions and the castle. There are maps at the three main entrances, which provide an overview of the entire museum. You can also find small maps of the museum in the castle, which list the collection highlights so you can map your own route, which will take you on a tour of your favourite artworks.
Wi-Fi
We offer free Wi-Fi in the castle and terrace areas.
Babies and small children
There is a changing table for babies behind the staff residence near the castle.
Less mobile visitors
There is a toilet for less mobile visitors behind the staff residence near the castle. The museum makes available two wheelchairs and a golf cart for two upon request. To be booked before your visit with the museum desk (+ 32 3 288 33 60).
Have a picnic
You can picnic anywhere in the museum park. In bad weather this can also be done inside the artwork Franchise Unit van Atelier van Lieshout. If you have a group of more than ten people you can make a reservation via

Franchise Unit van Atelier van Lieshout is a work of art. Keep in mind that the artwork must remain freely accessible to all visitors during your picnic.

Park regulations
You may not touch the artworks in the Middelheim Museum Park because this can damage the works.
Visitors of the Middelheim Park must adhere to the park regulations that apply to all Antwerp parks. The rules are clear and evident to people who respect nature, their surroundings and other people.
